Reader Reviews of Book
Beyond Chronic Pain helps patients with practical tips and insights to better cope with their chronic pain. Pain treatments often require more than medications. This guidebook helps patients learn the necessary tools to better cope with their pain. Combining a medical approach and a psycho-social approach helps enable the patients to control their pain and not have their pain control them.

What I like about "Beyond Chronic Pain" is that it does look at all aspects of living with pain and understanding and attending to all parts of one’s life in order to get better pain care and also to live a more fulfilling live with pain. It’s down to earth and practical, having exercises and being interactive by asking people/readers to make lists of various kinds and meditate on various things.
So it’s more than a book; it’s really a companion to someone who really wants to understand his or her pain and live a better life with pain, while putting it into the perspective of whole living with body, mind, and spirit.
I think it’s a great tool for people who are living with pain.
